Horsemanship Clinic:
Focus is on fundamentals on the ground and in the saddle. Riders and their horses will participate in techniques to improve their communication skills and will include exercises to improve flexing, suppleness, willingness, learning leg aids and creating soft hands. Emphasis will be given to problem areas. Questions are encouraged from participants and spectators.
** May 17 & 18, 2008 Azkaban Farm, Grimesland, NC. - 10 am thru 5 pm. Clinic is limited to 10 horses/riders. $200.00 for the weekend. Colt Starting Clinic:
John takes young horses with limited handling through the necessary steps to accept a blanket, saddle, bridle and rider. Emphasis is given on understanding that a horse is a prey animal and we as people are predators. The young horses learn to accept outside stimulation and look to his handler for guidance, confidence and leadership.

Problem Horse Clinic:
This clinic focuses on reopening the door to communication for a horse who has closed it. Problems dealt with can include but are not limited to trailier loading, water crossing, shying, pulling back, rating speed, cinchyness, buddy sour, etc.
